A delegation from the Malaysia-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), headed by Dato’ Tony Looi Chee Hong, visited Cambodia to assess the country’s investment potential and opportunities.

The delegation was welcomed on Monday by Soun Sophal, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board under the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the CDC headquarters in Phnom Penh.

The briefing was attended by Oknha Tan Khee Meng, who serves as the President of the Malaysian Business Chamber in Cambodia (MBCC).

Sophal gave a summary of Cambodia’s investment laws at the discussion, emphasising the Kingdom’s positive business climate through the incentive schemes and supporting policies put in place by the Royal Government.

Citing fruitful cooperation platforms as Cambodia-Japan, Cambodia-Republic of Korea, Cambodia-USA, and Cambodia-Europe, he emphasised the significance of continuous communication between the public and private sectors, which is encouraged by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

According to him, the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF) was a crucial tool for maintaining investor trust and creating a welcoming, stable atmosphere for further investment in Cambodia. AKP
